The beach

The apartment is just a 15-minute walk from the beautiful beach that stretches westward towards Torre del Mar for about 3 kilometers. The soft sand is mixed with finely ground stones that make walking a comfortable experience. 

The water is crystal clear and clean, thanks to the boats with nets that remove debris from the water several times a day. A well-trodden road runs along the entire beach towards Torre del Mar and is frequented by joggers and those who prefer a leisurely walk over the paved promenade. 

The beach is easily accessible for those with prams or in wheelchairs, with special ramps at regular intervals leading down to the water's edge. Shower facilities are available for both the body and sandy feet. 

Lifeguards patrol the beach both on land and at sea, ensuring safety. Numerous restaurants, small kiosks, and playgrounds are available along the boardwalk, offering a fun-filled experience for everyone.

Shopping

If you're looking for a place to shop, the El Ingenio Shopping Center in Torre del Mar is open from Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 10 pm. They have everything from electronics and furniture stores to HM, Zara, Massimo Dutti, supermarkets, restaurants, and more. It's less than a 10-minute drive away by car.

For those interested in Chinese shops, there are a few located along the road towards Caleta de Velez (east). They offer a wide range of items, including kitchenware, bedding, shoes, clothes, and beach accessories. They usually open at 10 am from Monday to Saturday and close for siesta between 3 pm to 5 pm before reopening at 9 pm. It's worth checking out as you might discover some hidden treasures.

If you prefer local markets, there's a market in almost every village along the Sun Coast, usually once a week. In Caleta de Velez, the market is on Saturdays, and in Torre del Mar, it's on Thursdays, open from 10 am to 2 pm. You can buy fresh vegetables and fruits from local growers, as well as clothes, hats, ceramics, herbs, gadgets, and more. The market starts a few hundred meters from Aldi, heading east towards Caleta de Velez.
